M6, a French television channel, contacted us to compose the music for two renowned culinary shows: “Top Chef” and “Kitchen nightmares”.
The production team provided an artistic direction and a creative brief that were extremely clear and precise.
The challenge was substantial: to compose a score that fully met the directors' requirements, all within a strict two-week deadline. A task that would call upon two of our key strengths: organization and operational efficiency.
We were presented with three parallel briefs:
"Rock Action" was to underscore all moments involving a challenge, utilizing a classic rock style. "Hybrid Beauty" was intended to accompany all emotional sequences or moments featuring food presentation.
"Action Competition" was the style selected for all moments of tension and suspense.
After defining a simple yet effective instrumentation setup, we prepared a series of pre-defined working sessions. These sessions were designed to be easily duplicated, thereby enabling us to efficiently create shortened, extended, or customized versions to meet the directors' specific requirements.
By producing high-quality, effective content in record time, our teams maintained full control over the entire production chain, from artistic direction, composition, and arrangement to mixing and final delivery, thereby establishing ourselves as a reliable and reassuring partner for the M6 teams. We realized that we could take care of high maintenance projects with extremely tight deadlines and high-level client satisfaction.
